Monza, Italy — Alfa Romeo Racing team has unveiled a distinct livery, intended for the Italian Grand Prix, as a special celebration marking the introduction of its newest limited-edition road car, the 33 Stradale.
Steeped in symbolism, this one-of-a-kind livery incorporates the vibrant colours of the Italian national flag on the engine cover while featuring gold wheels, celebrating not only the brand’s rich Italian lineage but also echoing distinctive elements of the new road car.
The exclusive 33 Stradale, limited to only 33 units and commanding a price tag of $2.15 million, resurrects the timeless charm of the esteemed 33 Stradale of the 1960s, an iconic automobile renowned in Alfa Romeo‘s illustrious motor history.
An Alfa Romeo press release clarified the strategy behind the new livery, stating, “Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake will pay tribute to the launch of Alfa Romeo‘s latest fuoriserie car, the new 33 Stradale, with a head-turning livery for its C43 cars at the Italian Grand Prix.”
The press statement continued, outlining some specific attributes of the novel livery – “Featuring the gold accents of the new 33 Stradale — themselves a nod to its illustrious namesake, an icon of the 1960s and one of the most legendary cars of Alfa Romeo‘s history — and the Italian flag’s tricolore on a field of black, the livery to be used in Monza will be one that will set fans’ hearts racing.”
Parallel to Alfa Romeo‘s initiative, Ferrari, yet another top-flight squad contesting their home Grand Prix, has also designed a unique livery. Their novel race-car skin furnishes a tribute to the company’s Le Mans-winning 499P Hypercar.
